My origins in the fitness industry:
I was an athlete in high school and worked at 24-hour fitness after graduating. I ended up teaching classes in kickboxing first because I broke my wrist and that prevented me from teaching swim lessons. This also led me to personal training. As I became more engaged in teaching I found an interest in a variety of formats. I love to do different workouts to prevent being bored. There is a different type of energy you get in a class setting and it's so fun to have that interaction while working out.
I like seeing people pushing themselves through a StrongBoard class while enjoying the unique challenge it provides. It gives them a different perspective of enhancing their performance.
Favorite StrongBoard Exercise:
I love partner work on StrongBoard. My favorite is having one person on the ground in plank while the other performs a surfer's lunge and they clap hands.
Favorite StrongBoard Experience:
I have seen people progress in their stability while using StrongBoard. I also love taking fitness professionals through StrongBoard to teach them something new and take them outside of their comfort zone.
Favorite StrongBoard Color:
I love the new turquoise color. Fantastic!!
Favorite Workout Music:
I like music with a fast pace or dance beat. This brings energy and helps me to keep going. If I'm prepping to race, I get in the zone by playing hard Herman music. This pumps me up for getting into a strong mindset to help me push my hardest in a race.
I love to go dancing, pool parties, brunch and shopping.
My Personal Vice:
My vice is margaritas!
Travel Memories and Aspirations:
So far my favorite place to travel is Germany. I love the food, people and culture.
