My origins in the fitness industry:
Education: Bachelors in Sport Movement Science; Concentration in Fitness and Wellness from Salem State University.
Certifications: StrongBoard Balance PT and Instructor, Group Exercise, CPR and First Aid Certified
Focus: Overall Fitness for a Balanced Lifestyle, High Intensity Interval Training, Functional Movements, Strength and Conditioning for Athletes
Personal Bio: With my very strong fitness background, I want to help others obtain their own personal fitness goals through a fun, welcoming and energetic workout. No matter the fitness level, I am there to help 100% of the way with motivational support. Also an elite level athlete, my goal is to help other athletes succeed in their sport while providing them with the right functional movements that will help them become faster and stronger.
Personal Success:
I have had many personal successes in my life. I believe the biggest thus far is graduating from Salem State University with a 3.5 GPA and received a Bachelor Degree in Sport Movement Science while being an elite level athlete. As a college soccer player, I was one of the top players in the conference and was also an all academic scholar athlete. At the end of my studies, I was recognized as a CHAMPS award winner which was a recognition for my impact in the community while succeeding in the classroom and on the field. I was also nominated for an Athlete Women of the Year.
Favorite StrongBoard Exercise:
My Favorite StrongBoard Exercise is Single Leg Pistol Squats because they aren't easy and it sure does test your strength and balance.
Favorite StrongBoard Experience:
My favorite StrongBoard Experience was becoming certified through Master Trainer Rachael Novello's course in Boston, MA and finally meeting Mike and Adella. Through that course I have become more confident teaching my group classes at the Simply Fit Studio.
Favorite StrongBoard Color:
Turquoise, it is bright and bold and my all time favorite color. It makes your videos look great when demonstrating on the board.
Favorite Workout Music:
Anything that is fast and motivating. I like to use a lot of Remix songs in my playlist like "girls just want to have fun" or "dance with somebody" which are both fast workout versions.
Hobbies:
When I am not teaching or playing soccer, I like spending time with family and friends. I also like relaxing on the beach or at the pool with a good book.
My Personal Vice:
I could live off Coffee, Ice Cream and Whip Cream! I also enjoy Wine, Cider and Pumpkin Beer (in season). My favorite TV shows are This is Us and Grey's Anatomy.
Travel Memories and Aspirations:
If you ask anyone my favorite place to travel is to Disney World, they may be right but I also love traveling to the Caribbean or somewhere warm.
